Who can enter
One entry is allowed per address, and the home must be within one of the approved subdivisions listed above. Residents may enter their own home or nominate a neighbor, but a neighbor's entry requires the resident's permission before it is published or eligible for votes. Entries are reviewed by organizers before they appear.
Lights-on schedule
Participating displays should run nightly from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., December 7 through December 26. You are welcome to decorate earlier.
Public voting
There is one public voting round, from Monday, December 7, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to Sunday, December 13, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. Central. All approved, complete entries are included for the entire period. Vote totals and rankings are kept private.
Fair voting
Each device may cast one vote per home. No ballot-stuffing, automated voting, or vote manipulation.
Awards
People's Choice is determined by valid public votes. Judges' Choice is selected separately by the organizer-appointed judging panel. Winners are announced Friday, December 18, 2026.
Display guidelines
Keep displays family-friendly and safe. Secure cords away from walkways, avoid strobe effects aimed at the street, and keep music at a considerate volume after 9:00 PM.
Visiting etiquette
Drive slowly, dim high beams, do not block driveways or mailboxes, and stay on sidewalks unless a homeowner has invited visitors onto the property.
